Recently, I’ve been SO busy that I have to pretty much plan time for when I should wind down and pamper myself. But I’ve been trying to take a day at least once a week, usually Sunday nights, where I relax, take a bath, do a face mask, etc.
With that being said, here is what I like to do on those nights when I’m trying to pamper myself and RELAX.
First off, my new apartment has a bathtub so I’ve been taking full advantage of that so I usually start off my night with taking a nice long bath. I either like to use some Epsom Salt with Lavender or the Coconut Bath Soak from Herbivore Botanicals*.
While I’m in the bath (or sometimes before), I start on my skincare routine. I start off washing my face with oil, like I do every night (where you can read more about here!). Once my skin is clean and makeup free, I like to do a face mask. I have a few favorites but my 2 go-to’s at the moment is the Blue Tansy Mask from Herbivore Botanicals* or the Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack. Both are my favorites for different reasons, the Blue Tansy mask is great for when I feel like my skin is a little dry since it helps with getting rid of dead skin cells. And the Glossier Mega Green Galaxy mask is good for if I feel like I’m breaking out, or about to.
Once my bath is over, I like to slather myself with some kind of moisturizer. I go between a few different ones. Sometimes I like to just use some grapeseed oil or jojoba oil. Other times I like to use the Jasmine Body Oil from Herbivore Botanicals*, it has all natural ingredients too (like grapeseed oil and jojoba oil) but it smells like jasmine tea, which is really soothing.
Once my body is nice and moisturized, I will focus back on my skincare. I will wash off my face mask and then use a toner. My two favorites are the Rosewater and Glycerin Facial Spray from Heritage Store and also the Rose Spray from Herbivore Botanicals* (it has a base of coconut water!! It’s amazing). Both sprays just FEEL really nice, and smell amazing, and also are really moisturizing.
Next, I’ve been using the Moon Fruit Night Cream from Herbivore Botanicals* and IT IS AMAZING. I usually just use jojoba oil or grapeseed oil to moisturize my skin, but I felt like I needed something even more moisturizing and this stuff was just what I needed! After the first use, I woke up the next morning and my skin look noticeably better. I highly recommend if you have issues with skin texture or dryness.
I then finish off with some night oil. Recently I’ve been using the Orchid Facial Oil from Herbivore Botanicals because it pairs really will with the Moon Fruit Night Cream. I will sometimes finish off with some more facial spray (mostly because it feels so nice) and that is usually it.
